Cup Transition

Trying to ditch the botttles?

I think 1st birthday is a great time for that! It gets harder as they get older!

Plus most people switch to cows milk at 1.

There is some degree of trial and error. I bought a few different cups with my first.

We used a few transition nipple to sippy cups. For the second child I don’t feel it’s worth it.

She liked the straw cup right away and did great. I didn’t like that it was a plastic cup and the straws were hard to clean. We ended up switching to glass cups with silicone straws. I also like the metal ones below.

Make sure to take completely apart to wash all surfaces they can mold in the straw and under gaskets. The straws come out of all of them. I didn’t realize this at first.

360 sippy cup The rubber disc pops off the white plastic, make sure to do this prior to washing. This is what we used for milk. They don’t spill!

straw cup with handles – We only used for water because they mold easy and straw is hard to clean.

If you child dosnt want to get rid of the bottle it can be hard. we had to stop cold turkey for my youngest. after a few days she eventually accepted the NUK transition sippy cup.

I’m trying to avoid plastic so I now have glass. Between both kids we have only broken one surprisingly!

The glass and metal last a lot longer but do cost more. I ended up throwing out and buying new plastic ones a lot at first.

glass cups Worth the money! Heavy, so be careful if they get dropped on feet.

stainless cups with straw– My new Favorite so far. $34 for 4 pack of 10 oz

Cute stainless cups $17 but great!
